Guangzhou/Ennetbürgen, July 2023, With the successful ignition of rotary kiln, SCIP-Anyo-SUEZ hazardous waste disposal project supplied and built by Raschka was officially put into operation on 3rd, July, 2023.
The facility is a key investment with an annual disposal capacity of 40,000 tons to meet the ever-growing demand for hazardous waste treatment from Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP), SAIC Motor, Shanghai SINOPEC and other industrial producers in Shanghai. To accommodate the complexity of hazardous waste disposal and meet the increasingly stringent environmental and emission standards in the future, Raschka has delivered highly optimized incinerators and purpose-built units to satisfy its highly demanding design specification, enabling the facility to comply with the strictest EU emission standards.
The facility will recover the heat generated by incineration through its energy recovery unit and redistribute the recycled heat to other industrial users in the park. The energy recovered is equivalent to saving 17,000 tons of standard coal each year.
With the successful startup of the facility, total hazardous waste incineration capacity in SCIP will increase from the current 120,000 tons/year to 160,000 tons/year. This project is set to become another strong reference case for waste reduction, decarbonization and the circular economy, reinforcing SCIP's reputation as the most representative green industrial park in China.

On behalf of EPC contractor for the project, Mr. Yao Jianjun, Managing Director of Raschka Engineering extended his congratulations for the successful startup in person at the ceremony and delivered thanks to the owner for the trust and support.

As the saying goes, “Petit à petit l'oiseau fait son nid”, Raschka Engineering will continue to rely on its best practices accumulated over the years and leverage its strong design capability and technological strength to serve the clients, keeping up the momentum for more successful delivery of technologically sophisticated projects.
